CLOUGHJORDAN ECO VILLAGE

Brand Identity

Cloughjordan Ecovillage, founded in 1999 and located in County Tipperary, is Ireland’s first ecovillage. They aim to serve as a model of sustainable living that can also act as a space for education, enterprise, research, and service for all. Their work includes demonstrating a new approach to rural regeneration, facilitating systems whereby people can create local and sustainable work, and providing for the cultural, artistic, and non-material needs of the village residents and surrounding community.

Their goal was to create a visual system that appealed to younger generations while still feeling appropriate for all ages and upholding the ethos of the community within design methods and materials. The resulting identity is inspired by the forms and colors of the village’s houses and signage, as well as textures that correlate to different aspects of the village. The branding package also includes short animations to use on social media.
